Right now everything is back in control after the government pleaded with the businessmen to give it 2 month to lower the interest rate and solve the inflation issues.
We can now access our money but again the opposition has started a campaign of "Walk to Work" where their supporters and other people walk to work instead of driving and taking cabs or buses to work because of high fuel prices. Yesterday morning the police had to use tear gas to disperse whoever was walking in a group of 10 people and even today it was the same. We don't know what our country is up to this year.
Yesterday I had a meeting with the district authorities to ask for permission to use the district social centre for our function because we haven't yet acquired a centre and they accepted because power minds is so far the number 1 recognised community-based organisation that has really made youth see some future in their lives. That will soon make me contest for the world noble peace award, hahahaha.
Anyway we are thinking of printing a banner for and we want it to have the names of your clubs and their logos.
See you
Nicholas

We have always tried to write and ask the district to give us a room for our youth but we found out that the district officials want to use my kids as a platform for their political achievements. Yet they have not done anything towards solving problems that youth faces in Kasanje. So they gave me a condition that whenever there are political gatherings, I should mobilise my kids to foster their agendas. That really pissed me off so much because politicians have used youth in lots of stupid things and in return they get arrested and beaten. Worst of all I hate politics.
I decided to work hard and acquire our own youth centre. Hopefully I will achieve that.
Okay, will see you in my inbox soon.

Sie haben 'ne Hütte angecheckt!

"Hello old man how are you doing, I'm hoping you managed to open the photos I sent you at last,
I'm doing well and I would like to inform you that we have already secured a building that is going to be our youth center for the rest of time. The only problem is that it really needs rehabilitation ie painting, working on the floor, installing proper windows, secure doors, installing solar because there is not electricity in kasanje village because the government has not yet electrified that area. So we still have a lot to do on it but nevertheless I thank you and your girlfriend, all the idstein youth centre crew and Heftrich youth club, Jan and Helmut for making this possible. This coming week we are going to finalize the paperwork and payment of the building for 8 month then make a memorandum of understanding between my organization and the local authorities.
I have attached photos for the site.
Thank you very much.
Nicholas"
Tja, jetzt müsste ich nur noch die Bilder von der Hütte hier reinsetzen können...

man sollte evtl die dachbalken abstützen ?!
...Spießer!
Wichtiger ist erstmal Strom. In Kesanje gibt's nämlich keinen. DESHALB steht das diesjährige Jazzfest unter dem Motto: Saufen für 'ne Solarstrom-Anlage...

"Hey, I am happy you will still put plans to raise funds for us towards our home, actually we need solar for that place because we are not sure about when electricity will reach.
The building is with kasanje town only that it's the only big building in the place, the rest are small households and the kids also live within kasanje so reaching there is not trouble.
But Kasanje is 60 kilometers from the city centre kampala so its very deep in the village. Otherwise we are looking forward to begin fundraising for renovation and other stuff after completing all paper work.
Will talk to you soon.
Bye.
Nicholas"
