against Chiefs Good morning http://www.broncosauthorizedshops.com/authentic-todd-davis-jersey , Broncos Country! After a disappointing loss to the Baltimore Ravens, the Denver Broncos have now turned their focus toward the Kansas City Chiefs in preparation for the upcoming showdown on Monday Night Football.Sparked by second-year gunslinger Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs are one of only three remaining unbeaten teams in the National Football League and undoubtedly are sporting the hottest offense in the NFL. Mahomes’ fast start is similar to what Broncos fans witnessed with Peyton Manning under center during his record-breaking 2013 campaign — awesome for the good guys, but terrifying for opponents. Unfortunately, given the Broncos’ penchant for giving up yards through the air in 2018, it’s understandable that most of Broncos Country lacks optimism with respect to Monday’s gridiron battle and are already preparing for a horror show on the first day of October.Though it doesn’t have to be that way. For how incredible the Chiefs’ offense is, their defense is horrendously bad, and present a prime opportunity for the franchise to rebound after a tenuous effort on the road in Baltimore. There isn’t much to write home about when talking about Kansas City’s defensive unit. The Chiefs rank dead last league-wide in regard to yardage allowed and are thirtieth in points given up. Additionally, they are surrendering the most yards through the air per game and a woeful 5.2 yards per carry on the ground. If there was any time for the Broncos’ offense to get back on track, this would be the week. With that said, it is doubtful that Denver can keep pace with the Chiefs in a shootout. So I have a different strategy to suggest for the upcoming game: establish the running game, control the clock and keep Mahomes and Co. off of the field. It’s a big gamble to take against a team who can light up the scoreboard with ease and poses a significant risk of getting down scores early if the defense doesn’t do their job — but to me it’s one worth taking. In order for that to be effective, the offensive line will have to do much better than it did against the Ravens. It will also require quality performances from rookies Royce Freeman and Phillip Lindsay, who have been impressed (for the most part) early on in their careers with the Broncos. Most importantly, the unit cannot afford to continue it’s path of self-inflicted wounds, whether it be from penalties or untimely Case Keenum interceptions. Efficiency will be crucial and if Denver can take a step forward in that regard, the game on Monday night shouldn’t turn into a catastrophic blowout. When I think of past Broncos-Chiefs match-ups where the running game played an essential role in Denver’s success — I have fond memories of Clinton Portis carving up the Chiefs for over two-hundred yards and five touchdowns Justin Simmons Jersey , as well as Quentin Griffin scampering for three touchdowns on Sunday Night Football. Oh, Terrell Davis also had some great games on the ground during his Hall of Fame career too. Here is to hoping that the Broncos rebound this week with a win against the Chiefs, which would give them the lead in the AFC West.As always, thank you for reading and here is today’s offering of Horse Tracks.Horse TracksBroncos Insider: Denver faces a tall challenge with Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs rolling into townThe Broncos are looking to shake off last Sunday's loss to Baltimore when they play host Patrick Mahomes and the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs on Monday -- one of just two teams NFL writer John Clayton says could be great this season.Denver Broncos: 5 players who must improve for week fourThe Denver Broncos already had plenty of room for improvement, but after losing to the Baltimore Ravens, a lot more has come into the light.Power Rankings Roundup: A slight stumbleThe Broncos fell in the experts' rankings after a Week 3 loss.Next-Day Notebook: Destroying the opponent's blueprintHead Coach Vance Joseph talked Monday about the team's plan in the secondary, his thoughts on two key penalties, how he managed the clock at the end of the first half and when two injured players could return.Competition committee to look at roughing the passer penaltiesThe NFL's competition committee plans to discuss the proliferation of roughing the passer penalties in the league so far this season.Everson Griffen barred from Minnesota Vikings, ordered to undergo mental health evaluationThe Vikings informed Everson Griffen and his agent last week that the star defensive end would not be allowed back to the team until he underwent a mental health evaluation, according to a police incident report obtained by ESPN.Neiron Ball, former Oakland Raiders LB, in medically induced coma after aneurysmNeiron Ball, who overcame a congenital condition in which the brain's blood vessels get tangled and rupture to reach the NFL, is in a medically induced coma after a brain aneurysm ruptured.Marshall Newhouse traded to Carolina Panthers from Buffalo BillsThe Panthers acquired Bills tackle Marshall Newhouse on Tuesday to add depth to their injury-plagued offensive line. Green Bay is signing free-agent cornerback Bashaud Breeland to fill the roster spot of injured veteran Davon House. It is time for the Broncos to move on from Paxton Lynch Many(myself included) had high hopes for Paxton Lynch when the Broncos traded up for him in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was a raw prospect with good size Authentic Chris Harris Jr Jersey , intriguing tools, plus athleticism, and a player who fit the Broncos desperate need at quarterback. Keep in mind they just lost Brock Osweiler to the Texans in free agency, signed Mark Sanchez, passed on Colin Kaepernick, and were just beginning to go down the Trevor Siemian road. So they needed a young “quarterback of the future” and Lynch fit that bill.It started out promising for Lynch, but it quickly went downhill. He lost out to seventh round quarterback Trevor Siemian in a starting quarterback battle that was weighted in his favor. He has struggled whenever he has played and seems to regress every time he takes the field. Then, he once again lost out to a seventh-round quarterback(Chad Kelly) this summer to be the backup to starter Case Keenum. It’s just time to move on and may be beneficial for both parties to do it sooner rather than later. Photo by Dustin Bradford/Getty ImagesThe contrast between second-team quarterback Chad Kelly and Paxton Lynch is evident. Kelly is oozing confidence and is seeing the field well. He is making accurate throws and appears to be a promising young quarterback for the Broncos. As for Lynch, he looks lost out there. He has zero confidence on the field, he is thinking too much, he is hesitating before he throws, he tucks and runs(still) too quickly, and just appears to have regressed from his rookie year. It is time to cut bait. I believe the Broncos should try to trade Lynch sooner rather than later. The Jets were able to get something for quarterback Christian Hackenberg so I believe there will be a market for Lynch. I do not expect much in return obviously, but you should be able to get something. Lynch’s first-round label helps him and some team that lacks a young quarterback option behind their veteran starter should be interested. Having a coach with a background of developing quarterbacks should help too. I wouldn’t be shocked to see New England be the team to kick the tires on Lynch but that is pure speculation on my part.In the end, Lynch needs a change of scenery. His future is not in Denver and he is being showered with boos while already lacking confidence. This isn’t a good environment for Lynch and it would do both sides well to just move on.It sucks it didn’t work out but prolonging this any longer just doesn’t make sense. It is time to move on from Lynch.
