"These should be the hallmark of her tenure as Chief Justice," President Akufo-Addo told the gathering.


Justice Akuffo was vetted by parliament's appointments committee last Friday and approved by the House earlier on Monday. She has pledged to live up to the expectation and also work to resolve the delays in justice delivery systems in Ghana.


The new head of the judiciary has served as a justice of the Supreme Court since 1995 and has enriched her judicial experience by serving with credit on continental judicial bodies such as the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights where she ended up as President of the Court.
