TOKYO Nike Air Huarache Triple Black , April 16 (Xinhua) -- Japan's Nikkei stock index surged 3.01 percent Wednesday as investor sentiment was lifted by China' s positive economic growth data, with the yen's depreciation against the U.S. dollar adding further support.


Brokers here said the market got a major shot-in-the-arm from data showing that China's economy expanded 7.4 percent in the first quarter of the year.


China's industrial production was also solid rising 8.8 percent in March from a year earlier, the latest economic data showed, with retail sales in the world's second-largest economy also jumping 12.2 percent in March.


"The data from China has eased some concerns about slowing growth in the world's second-largest economy and being Japan's biggest trading partner the news was well received here and spurred buying," said one local equities strategist.


Other analysts said the data saw the market switch from its recent averse mood Nike Air Huarache White , as the GDP data beat median economists' forecasts.


"Investors took it as a sign to take a risk-on attitude as the reading surpassed the market consensus of 7.3 percent growth," said Tsutomu Yamada, a market analyst at kabu Securities Co.
