His price tag will likely jump up after tonights game.Jim McCormick -- Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ersHe has a similar projection and ceiling to his more expensive peers, like?Blake Griffin. We also appreciate the expected uptick in minutes for Embiid. More exposure is inviting for Embiid, as only Russell Westbrook, James Harden and DeMarcus Cousins claim higher usage rates than the 76ers standout center. With Philadelphia favored at home against Orlando, we can expect Embiid to enjoy steady minutes with the opportunity to build another big box score.Kyle Soppe -- Jae Crowder, Boston CelticsAt the beginning of this week, it was reported that Crowder had shed the minutes limit he had been under since returning from an ankle injury that cost him over two weeks. He has been a strong value play ever since. I fully expect that to continue tonight against a Kings team that ranks among the bottom 10 in defensive efficiency and has allowed at least 99 points in eight straight games.Im not thrilled about Crowders reliance on the 3-ball dating back to last season (and highlighted again on Wednesday as 10 of his 15 field goal attempts came from distance), but with the Kings allowing the fourth-most made triples a game, Crowder should be getting open looks if he decides to settle. I like the versatile game here, as Crowder has produced at least five rebounds or five assists in four of his last five games. I think his confidence in his health will allow him to be more aggressive and get to the line more than what weve seen this season. Invest in Crowder while the price is still right.Renee Miller -- Rajon Rondo, Chicago Bulls If youve been watching what opposing point guards have been doing to the Cavaliers this season, and over the past week or so in particular, youre with me on this one. Opposing teams point guards have averaged over 70 DraftKings points against Cleveland over the last five games, and the third-most per game for the season.Since returning from injury, Rondo has been effective in just about every statistical category every night -- a key feature in a building block. I want the high floor that comes from multicategory production and the upside that comes from the possibility of a double-double or even a triple-double in Rondos case. His midrange salary gives me plenty of flexibility to work in higher priced stars at other positions.Players to fadeKyle Soppe -- Andre Drummond, Detroit PistonsI mentioned this earlier in the week, and Im going to continue to beat the drummond, as it were. Why would anyone roster Drummond at his current price? Yes, I get the high floor argument, but why pay up for him when you can get DeAndre Jordan for less? ?Last week, doing so paid off big, and while it wont always work out, Im not paying more for an identical skill set.From up here on my soap box, Ill make the anti-Drummond point for tonight in Atlanta. First of all, the Hawks own the most efficient defense in basketball and are a top-five rebounding team. What exactly are you hoping Drummond does well in this spot? Furthermore, the matchup with Dwight Howard scares me. Not only does it open the door for Drummond to get into foul trouble, it also presents a tough matchup on the other end of the floor. Playing one night later in the altitude of Denver isnt ideal, especially when hes one of the two highest-priced players of the night on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Im fading The Beard for one of the few times all season.Jim McCormick -- Nikola Vucevic, Orlando MagicWhen Joel Embiid is on the court, the 76ers enjoy an elite defensive rating of 98.5 points surrendered per 48 minutes. That rating would be second-best in the league if it were extrapolated out over the whole season. As one of the leagues premier rim protectors, Embiid could give Vucevic fits in the paint. Even though he often delivers a high fantasy floor, Id rather look elsewhere than the Magic big man tonight.Renee Miller -- Otto Porter Jr., Washington WizardsPorter is often the guy who fits right into lineups and provides the rock-solid floor you often cant get from anyone else at SF for his price. Tonight is a different story, as not only are there other guys Id like to use at the position, but Porter faces off against arguably the leagues best defender in Kawhi Leonard. This positional matchup, combined with a downgrade in pace for the Wizards, is forcing me to spend up or save more than Porter tonight. My feeling is that he doesnt repeat last weeks performance. She remembers playing a variety of Nintendo titles like Kirby and Pokémon together, but she admits that Segas classic platformer Sonic the Hedgehog may have had the biggest impact on her. When my mom and dad were dating, they bonded a lot over Sonic 1 for the Genesis. When I was born, they already had the cartridge along with Sonic 2, she recalls. Sonic 2 was easier to handle at the age of four, and I just fell in love with it.She loved the game so much that it inspired her to get serious about competing with the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which featured Segas blue hedgehog as a playable character. When I heard that Sonic was a playable character, my favorite character, I was so hyped, she says. Little did he know what he was about to spark into my life!Seeing the strength of the Smash community at that event inspired SuperGirlKels even more, and she spent the next two years practicing with friends she met on All Is Brawl, an online Smash forum and ladder ranking site. Thanks to Brawls online capabilities, SuperGirlKels was able to connect with Smash fans all over the world. I trained there a lot with random people, she says. It was super laggy, but I definitely did learn.Once she felt confident in her play, SuperGirlKels started traveling to compete at larger events, and soon had her breakout performance in 2014 at a US national tournament called SKTAR 3. I think I was just turning 18, and in my bracket I played the best player in France at the time, she says, referring to the Marth main Nassim Leon Laib. Everyone watched intensely and it was super hype. He ended up winning 2-1, but I almost beat him, and thats when things pretty much started for me. Smash 4 would release just a few months later and SuperGirlKels, along with many of the other top Brawl players, would make the switch to the new title.SuperGirlKels quickly found success in Smash 4, placing top 8 at Canadian majors like Montreal ComicCup and Canada Cup within the first year of release, becoming the first female Smasher to do so in Canada. Today she is considered a top professional in Smash 4, thanks in part to her unique approach to Sonic.I believe Im probably one of the most different Sonic mains out there; thats just my style, she says, referring to her aggressive tactics, Im very up in your face and I like to make my opponent nervous. I like to pressure them and bait out mistakes. SuperGirlKels likes to think her playstyle is reflective of Sonics actual personality. I like to play Sonic for the character he is. Hes supposed to be annnoying but aggressive at the same time, she says, adding that most opponents arent expecting to face that type of Sonic.dddddddddddd I definitely try to make him as fun as possible.Nowhere is this style more evident than in her APEX 2016 winners matches against Mew2King. She keeps the pressure on with constant approaches, which is a risky maneuver against Cloud and his many KO options. However, SuperGirlKels says she felt prepared, having studied his sets at EGLX and practiced with a friend in Montreal. I realized hes the type of player who really likes to focus on reading and seeing the science of the game, says SuperGirlKels. I figured throwing out some random stuff would throw him off, and thats what ended up working.After winning the game, SuperGirlKels brother Jayy rushed the stage to congratulate her, but she says she was already focused on the next match. I kind of enjoy the moment when it happened, but at the same time I treat all players the same and I gotta stay focused on the next player coming up.SuperGirlKels win over M2K, and her overall performance at the event, created quite a buzz on Twitter, with many big names in the Smash community applauding her play. One tweet from Melee pro Juan Hungrybox Debiedma said, Honestly SuperGirlKels beating M2K is awesome. Shes breaking the far-too-old stigma that a girl cant be a pro smasher. If I can trigger something that can motivate other people or other women to get into the Smash community, its really awesome, she says. Were all human and we all have the same potential; we just have to do it.SuperGirlKels says her current goal is to move further up the Montreal Smash 4 power rankings, where she is currently ranked #3 behind the brothers Ally and Holy. However, she isnt solely focused on her own improvement; she wants to help advance the Smash community as a whole. She runs a website similar to All Is Brawl to help new players find their way into the scene, and is planning on hosting Smash 4 weeklies in Montreal.Recently, while attending a friends graduation party, she even got a chance to introduce a new generation of gamers to Smash, an experience she shared with a short video on her Twitter account. Noticing a group of bored kids at the party, she decided to teach them how to play. The results were magic, and they all kept falling in love with the characters, she says. They played for hours and it was hard to get them off the game. We have to realize that if we want esports to continue we have to keep inspiring.
