MILAN, Italy -- The San Siro stadium will be closed to fans for AC Milans next match as punishment for insulting chants by the clubs fans during a weekend match at Juventus. Wesley Sneijder Jersey . Its the second time this season that Milan has been sanctioned by the league judge, after fans also subjected Napoli supporters to discriminatory chants. The ban will come into effect for Milans next match, against Udinese on Oct. 19. Milan was also fined (euro)50,000 ($68,000). A statement from the Serie A judge said Milan was punished because "several hundreds of its supporters, for some minutes before the start of the match and at the sixth and 43rd minutes of the second half, chanted an insulting chorus expressing territorial discrimination against supporters of another club." Milan immediately announced that it would appeal the decision, saying it "lacks justification." Juventus won the match 3-2, leaving Milan 13 points behind Serie A leader Roma in a tie for 12th with promoted Livorno. Serie A is handing out harsher punishments for fan racism and discrimination this season. Three other clubs -- Roma, Lazio and Inter Milan -- have had partial stadium bans for fan racism. Also Monday, the league judge banned Milan defender Philippe Mexes for four matches -- three games for punching Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini and one for a red card picked up later. McCoy saw the Pittsburgh Steelers open holes and create running lanes for LeVeon Bell, who rumbled for 204 yards and a touchdown on 33 carries in a Monday night win. McCoy hasnt had more than 24 carries in a game this season and will try to prove the naysayers wrong Sunday versus Tennessee at Lincoln Financial Field. After leading the NFL in rushing last season with 1,607 yards and 5.1 yards per carry, McCoy has been a hot topic for criticism for down numbers in 2014. Sproles, whos a dangerous weapon in the return game, hasnt had more than seven carries in a game since posting 11 in Week 1. He needs to be more involved in the run game to make the Eagles more balanced and dangerous. McCoy and Sproles are rarely on the field at the same time. The Titans are 31st against the run (143.5 ypg), while the Eagles are averaging 114.2 ypg rushing. Mark Sanchez made his second start for the Eagles and didnt play as sharp as he did versus the Panthers. Sanchez was picked off twice and one interception was returned 52 yards for a touchdown by Julius Peppers. Sanchez also fumbled a bad snap and it was returned 49 yards for a score by Casey Hayward. When the frost settled at a chilly Lambeau Field, Sanchez finished 26-of-44 passing for 346 yards.
