The Football League Trust are hoping to build on the success of the first ever national Kinder+Sport Futsal Cup tournament. Thousands of children under the age of 16 from 450 schools across the country took part in the competition, which came to an exciting conclusion this week as Wolverhampton Wanderers triumphed in the girls section, while Hartlepool United took the honours for the boys. The winners then went through no less than eight regional finals, playing at inspiring venues such as the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield and the FAs elite training facility at St Georges Park. This resulted in eight regional winners from both the boys and girls teams then emerged on finals day at the Derby Arena.
