Did you know Hunter Pence was a big Harry Potter fan? Find out what else the San Francisco Giants outfielder thinks about his teammates, the media and performance-enhancing drugs in the latest Burning Questions.Who was your favorite player growing up? Pence:?I had several. I liked the fast guys. Rickey Henderson, Kenny Lofton, Devon White. And Jim Thome -- he was the one non-fast guy.Who is your favorite player to watch today -- not a teammate? Pence:?Shoot, theres a lot of really good players. I like [Josh] Donaldson. Hes so powerful. Hes just such a good hitter. Hes got power to all fields. Hes got speed. He makes crazy defensive plays.Who is your most underrated teammate? Pence:?Aw, man. All of em. Theyre all underrated. Theyre all way better than people realize. Except for me.Whats the most annoying question you are asked by the media?Pence:?None of em. Every question is important because its important to that reporter. Really, were kind of like poets. We just gotta write a story, because you saw what happened. When yall come in and ask us, we just gotta re-explain something that happened that we cant really explain. So were just storytellers. One rule you would change? Pence:?I think its pretty good the way it is. I like the way they have it. I dont want them to change the strike zone. I think they should keep the strike zone the way it is. Im not so happy about all the clocks. Its weird. They want to speed up the game, but then they want more offense. A lot of the drama is in the time in between, the thinking and the process and the chess match. So theres a lot of that buildup that, if youre rushing the game, you dont get the magnificence. I understand the time in between innings, but between pitches and stuff, theres a lot of process, especially in big moments. Theres something special about the time in between.Who is ultimately responsible for policing the game? Players, manager, umpires, the league? Pence:?All of the above. Little bit of everything. I just let it police itself. I dont try to do any policing. Just play the game and not worry about how anybody else is playing the game. Just worry about competing to win.How big of a problem are PEDs in todays game? Pence:?I think weve progressed a lot. Theres a tremendous amount of testing, and Im all for it. The more testing, the merrier. Keep it clean. Its good for the health of all of us. Im very grateful that theyre doing that. What is something that people dont know about you or have wrong about you? Pence:?I enjoy Harry Potter, card games and all that stuff. Magic gathering, Dungeons & Dragons. I love the imagination. I prefer the Potter movies over the book because most of my reading is self-help stuff, like psychology and philosophy and all that stuff. But we did buy the new book. My favorite movie scene is when Voldemort and Dumbledore battle. I dont remember which one its in, but that was my favorite scene by far. Youth Jazz Jerseys . But when it comes to determining if Raymond will find a place on the Leafs roster when training camp concludes in a week, well, that decision will ultimately fall to the head coach. Discount Jazz Jerseys . "I was fortunate to play many years at this level with a great organization and unbelievable teammates," said Hejduk in a statement. http://www.cheapjazzjerseyschina.com/ . Brazilian national coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has confirmed that the veteran goalkeeper is set to join Toronto on loan, saying it will help him be ready for the World Cup. Jazz Jerseys From China . The Islanders dealt Thomas Vanek to the Montreal Canadiens after less than a year on Long Island. Meanwhile, the Oilers dealt long-time sniper Ales hemsky to the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday for a fifth-round pick in 2014 and a third-rounder in 2015. Wholesale Jazz Jerseys . Clarkson had been dealing with an elbow injury in early January and will be out of action for at least one week. He has three goals and five assists through 36 games with the Leafs this season. Editors note: Starting next week, ESPN.com is counting down the best basketball sneakers of all time, #NBArank style. But first we asked a few writers to share about their favorite kicks. The Air Force 1 is, at the end of the day, in this entire sneakerhead epidemic, a shoe for the people. Forever reppin what the marriage between the game and the soul of the game is supposed to be.This to me was the most important shoe in basketball history, said Ray Butts, architect of Sole Provider: 30 Years of Nike Basketball, when?reflecting on the Air Force 1.The true story of the Air Force 1 is closer to the story of the black renaissance, and the reason gear, fit, and merch mean so much to lower-income minorities, especially many African-Americans, who throughout history have used sports, entertainment and hustle as a lifeline to survival and escape. But it has also lived the life of excess. Its been on Jay-Zs feet in concerts and commercials. Its been in songs by Nelly, then a classic by Kanye, KRS-One, Nas and Rakim. Its been on Seinfeld!?For true, it is a shoe for the people, but it still has a vainglorious history of the fab life.Put it best this way: If it were a city, itd be Brooklyn: Park Slope and Bed-Stuy.What began in 1982 as an innovating design and construct with the intent of revolutionizing the sole of the game, the Air Force 1 went from being the shoe that defined the games of Bobby Jones, Michael Cooper, Jamaal Wilkes and Moses Malone to the shoe that defined everything Rasheed Wallace was about as a player and a person.ddddddddddddAnd somewhere in between, the streets took hold.Part of the reason the hood took ownership of the Air Force 1 is because of the affordability. Staying 100 (unless they were LEs, PEs, signatures, customized or bespokes) for less than $100 is an art. With the AF1 having a design so universally clean and simple, it adapted to damn near any trend of black fashion and style. The Air Force 1 is the only shoe that belongs to a particular culture, said Isaac Perry, former host of a Nike digital shoe documentary Laced, speaking on the shoes 25th anniversary in 2007.And because of that, the value of the shoe has not diminished. And it never will. Even as the landscape of both basketball shoes and lifestyle sneakers evolve into a Westworldish/Westbrookish future, the one that started it all still lives the life of champagne wishes and concrete dreams.Harlem to Hollywood. And back.A life, uninterrupted. Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
