practices Womens Isaac Seumalo Jersey , the Eagles are near the bottom, with only one open practice this year. The team says there are valid reasons for that.Eagles President Don Smolenski said on WIP that the team believes, after seeing how many fans attended last year’s two open practices, that one will suffice.“What we found was, last year . . . only 2,500 people actually came to both [open practices]. We can do this in one practice and we can schedule the time,” Smolenski said.It may be true that this year’s one open practice will draw as many fans as last year’s two, but that doesn’t change the fact that while other teams are opening up as many as 20 practices to the public, the Eagles only have one. If you’re an Eagles fan who has to work on that one day, or who has family obligations that can’t be rescheduled, you’re out of luck — you’re not getting to see the Eagles at training camp this year. Most NFL teams open up at least 10 training camp practices to the fans. Any team that only opens one is going to face justified criticism from the fan base. Make your own mock draft!"Mere days separate us and the NFL draft and as it closes in, the rumors and excitement swirl relentlessly. To have a little fun and get a feel for how the draft could shake out for the Eagles, I dipped my toes into one of the best draft simulators on the web! Here are the “rules” for this simulation. For a board, I am using The Athletic writer Arif Hasan’s Consensus Board. This board is a compilation of dozens of media boardsthat theoretically gives the most accurate picture of a player’s draft value. Team needs are defined by Steve Shoup’s (Fanspeak’s co-founder) team needs determination in order to shape how other teams in the simulator draft. I will not be doing trades because otherwise that turns into a deus ex machina where I can get whomever I want. Lets draft! Round 1: 25Top 5 Players Available (per consensus board):Jeffery Simmons, Defensive Tackle, Mississippi StateChristian Wilkins, Defensive Tackle, ClemsonAndre Dillard, Offensive Tackle, Washington StateJosh Jacobs Chuck Bednarik Jersey , Running Back, AlabamaDeandre Baker, Cornerback, GeorgiaMy Pick: Despite the pressing need of offensive line help, I have a hard time letting Christian Wilkins fall past the Eagles. Wilkins checks every box in terms of athleticism, great tape, college production and outstanding character. No team can have enough pass rushers and putting Wilkins into the rotation would make the defensive line group even more dangerous. Round 2: 21Top 5 Players Available (per consensus board):Erik McCoy, Center, Texas A&MJohnathan Abram, Safety, Mississippi StateDarnell Savage, Safety, MarylandGreg Little, Offensive Tackle, Ole MissElgton Jenkins, Center, Mississippi StateMy Pick: With a couple impressive linemen available, I gotta take Greg Little for what I see as a steal in the second round. Little is as talented as offensive tackle prospects get and he could be the long term replacement for Jason Peters. Easy pick. Round 2: 25Top 5 Players Available (per consensus board):Erik McCoy, Center, Texas A&MDarnell Savage http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-herman-edwards-jersey , Safety, MarylandElgton Jenkins, Center, Mississippi StateJJ Arcega-Whiteside, Wide Receiver, StanfordAmani Oruwariye, Cornerback, Penn StateMy Pick: This is a tough choice given that these players are all very good and would address various needs, however the team should stay local and draft Amani Oruwariye. With a lot of question marks in the cornerback group, Oruwariye would add another young playmaker in the defensive backfield to give the team depth and a potential impact starter. Round 4: 25Top 5 Players Available (per consensus board):Rodney Anderson, Running Back, Oklahoma Trayveon Williams, Running Back, Texas A&MKaden Smith, Tight End, StanfordJalen Hurd, Wide Receiver, BaylorBryce Love, Running Back, StanfordMy Pick: I wouldn’t be able to stomach passing on Bryce Love at this value. The former 2 Womens Tommy McDonald Jersey ,000 yard rusher has true home run speed and would be an excellent addition to the backfield and a lightning to the thunder of Jordan Howard. Round 4: 36Top 5 Players Available (per consensus board):Duke Tranquill, Linebacker, Notre DameMike Edwards, Safety, KentuckyAnthony Johnson, Wide Receiver, BuffaloDavid Long Jr., Linebacker, West VirginiaTerrill Hanks, Linebacker, New Mexico StateMy Pick: The choice for me here is between Mike Edwards and Anthony Johnson. Despite Edwards’ presence as a hard hitting and versatile safety, I have such a strong feeling Anthony Johnson will massively outplay his draft position. Johnson has to be the pick because as Nelson Agholor heads into his contract year, Johnson’s great hands and route running ability make him a logical heir to the slot receiver position. Round 5: Pick 25Top 5 Players Available (per consensus board):Marvell Tell III, Safety, USCDamarkus Lodge, Wide Receiver, Ole MissDevine Ozigbo, Running Back, NebraskaPreston Williams, Wide Receiver Jerome Brown Jersey , Colorado StateRyquell Armstead, Running Back, TempleMy Pick: No brainer pick to draft Marvell Tell III. The junior safety tested out of this world and it is hard to let an athletic safety prospect slide any further. There is concern with him being a lighter safety prospect, but the upside is considerable and he could even be a potential cornerback conversion with his long frame. Round 6: Pick 24Top 5 Players Available (per consensus board):Mitch Hyatt, Offensive Lineman, ClemsonCarl Granderson, EDGE, WyomingUgo Amadi, Safety, OregonMark Fields, Cornerback, ClemsonClayton Thorson, Quarterback, SafetyMy Pick: At one point in his career, people talked about Mitch Hyatt like he was a future first round pick. The highly decorated four year starter played several positions along the offensive line to great success. Hyatt is a below average athlete and doesn’t have prototypical size, but he is a highly intelligent, technical player who is credited as a leader in the locker room. At worst, Hyatt is very solid offensive line depth. At best, he could get stronger and develop into a future starter. Hard to find upside like that on day three of the draft.
