The Texans hired Jack Easterby from New England to be their director of player personnel, fired Brian Gaine, satiated the Rooney Rule, tried to poach Nick Caserio from New England like some mystical albino jungle cat from the swaths of Myanmar, were accused of tampering, and then backed away completely once Houston either remembered or found out Caserio had a clause in his contract that prevented him from signing with another team that the Patriots might not have been able to enforce to begin with. As a result, Houston will not have a general manager for 2019, and instead the role will be split up among multiple men like the Articles of Confederation. ESPN and Adam Schefter typed up the exact details yesterday afternoon:“The Houston Texans are not hiring a general manager for the 2019 season and instead will divvy up those responsibilities among existing front-office members such as Matt Bazirgan, James Liipfert, Chris Olsen and Jack Easterby, league sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.Houston has been without a GM since June 7, when they fired Brian Gaine. He had been in that role since January 2018 after signing a five-year contract with the team.At the time of Gaine’s firing, the Texans said their football operations would be led by Olsen, the team’s senior vice president of football administration Womens Kendall Lamm Jersey , while they searched for a new GM.One potential GM candidate was New England Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio, who is under contract with the Patriots. You want to try and make a tackle and get back up. You have to get up, get back in line and try to make another play.”
