He recorded a sack late in the game, and his high football IQ was on full display. Young relied upon his instincts to make plays, which is something Kamalei Correa and Patrick Onwuasor struggle to do. With Correa in Tennessee and Peanut not improving in coverage, this should be Young’s job outright. 2. How long will Janarion Grant’s leash be?Head coach John Harbaugh’s proverbial doghouse is a place that no player should aspire to be in, but Grant may have put himself there with his careless fumble on a punt return. Flacco’s mark of 6.9 yards per attempt is a considerable improvement from a year ago, and his ability to extend plays with his legs made this performance that much more inspiring. On another positive note, Flacco appeared to have changed plays at the line of scrimmage several times, which is not something that he has always done throughout his career.5. Do not call it a comeback Tony Jefferson had a miserable 2017 campaign that was plagued with poor showings in coverage and missed tackles. Last season was an adjustment for Jefferson, given that he was rarely asked to be a single-high safety in Arizona. He wanted to not only ‘change the faces,’ but acquire valuable contributors that could help Flacco bounce back. Newsome must have been smiling from his suite on Sunday as all three free agent wide receivers scored a touchdown. 7. Panic mode?The final stat line suggests the Ravens were successful running the football, but they did not find much success until the game was already decided. Alex Collins and Javorius Allen each scored a touchdown, but they combined for only 30 rushing yards off of 11 carries.
